School Attendance

Parents’ primary responsibility is to get their children to school on time. It is difficult for students when they arrive late or are absent. Learning opportunities are lost with each late or absent day. Illness should, generally, be the only exception. Make all appointment on Wednesday afternoon. 


Responsabilidad primordial de los padres es de traer a sus hijos a la escuela a tiempo. Es difícil para los estudiantes cuando llegan tarde o están ausentes. La enfermedad debe, en general, ser la única excepción de una falta. Haga todas sus citas en la tarde del miércoles.

Principal's Message

We are always concerned for the safety of our students. Please enter and leave the parking lot in a continuous circle. Never leave a car running as you walk a student into school. Please remember it is a one way parking lot.

Siempre estamos preocupados por la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes. Por favor cuando entre y salga del estacionamiento en un circulo continuo. Nunca deje un automóvil encendido cuando usted camine a su estudiante para dentro de la escuela. School Uniforms

The basic uniform consists of a plain, white collard shirt or blouse. Black pants, sweats, jeans or jumpers. Sweaters, Jackets or Sweatshirts should be plain colors. Avoid clothing that is red, or blue. Any questions, call 392-3970.


El uniforme básico consiste de camisa o blusa blanca con cuello. Pantalones, suéteres, falda deben ser totalmente negros. Suéteres, chaquetas o sudaderas deben ser de colores lisos. Evite la ropa que es de color rojo o azul. Si tiene una pregunta, llame al 392-3970.

Mr.Colombo was honored by recieving the California State University, Monterey Bay 2014 Marian Partnership Award

The Marian Penn Partnership Award honors a partnership between service learning faculty and a community partner that has made service learning possible and powerful. This award recognized Mr. John Colombo as a community partner who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to service learners. For the 2014 school year Mr. Colombo, in collaboration with CSUMB faculty placed 60 services learners at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School. These service learners worked closely with students providing them with additional attention and classroom support. Given his dedication to service learning, it is no surprise that Mr. Colombo was honored by receiving the California State University, Monterey Bay 2014 Marian Penn Partnership Award.
